Why you do everything «right» but never got rich

Being right doesn't guarantee results. The market pays not for effort and intentions, but for finishing. On the difference between activity and results.

You work. You try hard. You learn. You don't complain. Everything seems right. But the money doesn't grow. Why? Because being right is not a guarantee of results. In business, as in investing, you're paid not for effort but for returns.

Intermediate stages are not capital

Working on a project is good. But it's not the ones who work who earn — it's the ones who finish. Capital is what comes back as dividends. If your project pays no dividends, it's a hobby, not an asset.

The rich are intolerant of unfinished work — in themselves and in their team. When someone says «I tried», they ask: «so where's the result?». That's not harshness, that's calculation. The market pays for results, not intentions.

Tolerance for problems

The second thing is composure — when everything is falling apart and you keep going. The higher the income, the higher the risk and the pressure. Want to earn more — be ready to manage bigger volumes of responsibility and consequences.

The real ceiling

For most people the stop isn't triggered by fear of failure — failure we know. They fear success, because it's unknown: «what if I have a lot of money — it'll be taken away, people will envy me, I won't cope». That's where the real ceiling is. The rich are the ones who stay in the game when it gets scary. Behind every new level of risk is a new level of income.
